And the winner is......The People, with a Bigger Majority

The Permatang Pauh result is in. Anwar Ibrahim has won the seat with a landslide. In fact, against all odds, he increased his majority from his wife's back in March 2008. But the real winner is the people. The result shows that the people are now smarter, not easily duped by one-sided BN's propaganda and not to mention the silly "sumpah" by Saiful.

The result is as follows:

The result also proves that UMNO's influence among the Malays is crumbling. While it is true that in the last General Election, UMNO had garnered more Malay votes as compared to PR, but the Permatang Pauh election result points to the fact that UMNO's Malay support base is dwindling. The increase of the majority came from the Malay section of the Permatang Pauh electorate.

I have not gotten the breakdown of the result but i expect Anwar Ibrahim to have won all three DUN within the Permatang Pauh Parliamentary area. It means that even in Arif's area, where Arif is the "wakil rakyat" for Seberang Jaya, he lost the vote tally.

I am also relieved to see that the effect of the BN controlled media has once and for all reduced to just BN hardcore supporters. It also means that the blogsphere has managed to rival the Main Stream Media (MSM) up to the point of making the MSM sterile.

And for once, the Malays are fighting back against incessant BN/MSM constant barrage of ridiculous and stupid propaganda. They have decided to speak out against Barisan Nasional attempt to dumb them down.

Why This Result is Bad for BN

The Permatang Pauh result indicates that BN have lost the support of all major races in this country, Malay, Chinese and Indians. It is a big psychological blow to BN. Not only that, it is a vote of no-confidence to BN from the people of Malaysia.

What BN fears most from this result is the fact that component parties within the BN will start to lose confidence in UMNO as leaders of Barisan Nasional. Furthermore, UMNO MP's, leaders and rank and file will also start to lose confidence in UMNO leadership and the Barisan Nasional.

This might lead to the scenario that we have been talking all this while, the major cross-overs of BN MP's into Pakatan Rakyat which will lead to the fall of the BN government and UMNO.

I am confident that every single one of UMNO MP's are reassessing their position in the party right now. I am also willing to wager that their outlook on the BN is very gloomy. THis will make the fall of BN easier.

Also, the one I pity most is Saiful. He has let himself to be exploited by UMNO. In the process, he has exploited Islam by conducting the swearing ceremony. Now, not only his swearing is not believed by the Malay masses, which defeats the purpose of him doing the swearing, he must now face the wrath of God for lying in the name of God. I don't think the entire BN government machinery is capable of stopping the wrath of God in order to protect Saiful. I expect the BN machinery to distance themselves from Saiful from now on and leave him out to dry.

Hope the Victory will Hasten the Strengthening of Pakatan Rakyat in Penang

Since PAS has demonstrated their undivided support and commitment to the PR victory I also would like to call upon Anwar Ibrahim to solve the standing problem of PAS Penang being sidelined in the Penang State Government. I would suggest that the sole PAS ADUN, Ustaz Hamdan Abdul Rahman, be made an EXCO. It's not unusual to have a cabinet reshuffle considering Pakatan Rakyat was formed after the Penang State government was formed.

PAS has proven their loyalty, their commitment and their preseverence in the face of adversity in their support for Anwar Ibrahim's reelection for Permatang Pauh. Reinserting them back into the State Goverment's affairs is not something that is uncalled for.

Such move is also highly important to preserve the unity of Pakatan Rakyat. Such mess must be resolved before Anwar takes over Putrajaya.

Furthermore, it is expected considering PAS is a component of Pakatan Rakyat. But, I believe Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng will deliver the promised they made to PAS before the Permatang Pauh by election.

Thank You To KEadilan Turncoats

To Ezam Mat Nor, Zahid Mat Arip, Lokman Nor Adam, Datuk Nallakarupan, Abdul Ghani Haron, Zamil Ibrahim, Hamdan Taha, SD Johari and the rest of you KeAdilan turncoats. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

What i gather from my intelligence on the ground is that these people's prominence during the election only managed to disgust UMNO hardcore voters and increased the sympathy of "UMNO inclined" voters to Anwar Ibrahim.

The fact that these slimeballs and sorry-excuses-for-a-human-being has had a mile-long record of cussing and cursing UMNO is known to everyone in Permatang Pauh. Now, they have come back to Permatang Pauh campaigning for the party they once spit, damned, cursed and imprecated upon disgusts the UMNO voters upon them. The fact UMNO allows these low-lifes prominence during the campaign heightened the disgust of UMNO-inclined voters upon UMNO and also sympathy to Anwar Ibrahim. Apparently, the UMNO machinery discovered this fact a little bit too late for them to do anything.

All that is uttered by these turncoats seems to benefit Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar Ibrahim even more. So, again from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much to all of you turncoats. May God have mercy on your souls.

Congratulations are in order

I would like to congratulate the people of Permatang Pauh for their firmness in rejecting cheap politics and instead voted for issues and candidate that has their interest at heart. If they had gone for bN, only the cronies will benefit and they will remain in the lurch.

I also would like to congratulate Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his victory. It is a well earned victory and only God knows the kind of hell that he had to go through after he was sacked from DPM office, just to get to this point. I am glad that he stuck to his guns and did not waiver a bit from his principle. And God has rewarded him for his persistance.

I also congratulate Kak Wan and Izzah and Anwar's entire family for enduring such inhumanity and barbarity subjected to their family for the last 10 years. Only God knows the trauma that they had to go through. But, at least Kak Wan resigned when her popularity is at it's maximum. She will go down as a cult figure in history as the likes of John F Kennedy, Al Gore, Cybil Shepard (yes I meant to say this), James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Franklin Delanor Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela, The Beatles,Paul McArtney, Jimi Hendrix, Sting, Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Christopher Reeve,Bill Cosby, Jeremy Irons, Geena Davis, Thelma and Louise, Bonnie and Clyde, the guy who sang the song "Henry the VII" and maybe Alexander the Great. Not to mention she achieved all this while having the fun playing a role as a grandmother. We will miss Kak Wan. I vote we appoint her as a Senator and then we can still see her in the public limelight and fight for social issues like clean water, better healthcare etc.

But, the battle is not over. We still have Putrajaya and let us not develop overconfidence and apathy after this win. There are still obstacle to overcome and challenges to face until the day Putrajaya is conquered and our nation is saved.

To my readers, sorry for not writing much on Permatang Pauh. Most of the information i received were strategic in nature and it might've been bad for the Pakatan Rakyat operations during the election if i had written on it. I was tempted but i stuck to my discipline.

A wonderful assessment, Tulang Besi. It warms my heart that BN and Umno will be reverberating from the shock waves generated by this Victory at Permatang Pauh.

The people have delivered a second message to BN following the first message from the 12th G.E. Will Umno change course? I think not a chance. There is no option but to march to Putrajaya.

51 years ago, Tunku Abdul Rahman brought us Merdeka and freed the nation from the British. Then UMNO colonised the nation.

51 years later, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim brings out the meaning, the true meaning of Merdeka as it was intended by Tunku.

Ketuanan Rakyat! The dark blue canton in Jalur Gemilang which represents Malaysian Unity reigns supreme in this 51st Merdeka!

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Finally, we can have a bit of taste in how our Bapa Merdeka fought for our independence. However, the British did not ridicule nor did they subject Tunku to the level of humiliation that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Family went through in the last 10 years under BN/UMNO Regime.

Congratulations to DSAI, the people in Permatang Pauh and Rakyat Malaysia.

Now: Parliament
Next Step: Putrajaya
